Group 6 Squadron Commanders,
I'm pleased to inform you that I will be conducting a full-day Urban Direction Finding (UDF) Training Course at Concord Regional Airport on Saturday, October 1. I received confirmation from the airport on using their alternate Training Room in the building next to the terminal building (the usual room is under renovation).
Please pass on the following details to your senior and cadet squadron members...
This UDF training will consist of both classroom training, focusing on locating ELT's on/around airfields, and two practice missions on Concord Airport's ramp using three types of equipment. If the student has completed the prerequisites they will be fully UDF qualified through this training. The training is open to Seniors and Cadets. It's also open to any who are already qualified but wish to renew or refresh their training. Priority will go to initial trainees.
