Just wanted to let you know,  there is a CERT  (Community Emergency Response Team) Training set for a weekend  in Fayetteville, NC   (see time,  date and location below)
 
The weekend of  4-6 November 2016, this CERT training tailored for the Civil Air Patrol  since CERT activation has to come from Civil Air Patrol there is no activation through the Squadron or the County your Squadron is located in. 
 
The Class is Free to all Civil Air Patrol Personnel,   all you need to do is have your personnel sign up for the class in TERMS,  on the North Carolina Emergency Management web site.
 
If there is an issue on your Cadets and Senior Members signing into TERMS,  that is not going to be a WAR STOPPER,    I can put your Squadron Personnel in TERMS,  I would only need to know who you have attending the course.
 
The CERT training is currently schedule for: 
 
Fri. Nov 04, 2016 6:00pm - 9:00pm 
Sat. Nov 05, 2016 9:00am - 6:00pm 
Sun. Nov 06, 2016 9:00am - 6:00pm 
 
LOCATION: 
 
Westarea Fire Department, Station 15, 6989 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville NC 28311 
 
UNIFORM:
 
Can be any civil air patrol uniform  as:  Polo Shirt and gray pants,  Blue BDU,  Green Camouflage BDU or  Air Force Style ABU's   
 
The purpose of the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Training is to provide the individuals who complete this course with the basic skills that they will need to respond to their community’s immediate needs in the aftermath of a disaster, when emergency services are not immediately available. By working together, CERT members can assist in saving lives and protecting property using the basic techniques in this course. The target audience for this course is individuals who desire the skills and knowledge required to prepare for and respond to a disaster. This is a 21-hour class and will be delivered over several days. We welcome individuals of all abilities.
