Commander’s Commentary—December 2017

Col Robert J Bailey

CAP Safety Pledge

As a Civil Air Patrol member I pledge to promote an uncompromising safety environment for myself and others, and to prevent the loss of, or damage to Civil Air Patrol assets entrusted to me. I will perform all my activities in a professional and safe manner, and will hold myself accountable for my actions in all of our Missions for America.

 Members of NCWG,

It is that time of year that some of us get to enjoy time off, some are getting to go visit family and friends, while others are busy working the retail outlets.  Whatever you are doing over the holidays, I hope that you are safe and enjoy this time.  For me, it is the Christmas season and I intend to enjoy it with all of the blessings that come with it.

I thank you all for everything you have done and continue to do again this year.  You are an amazing Wing full of dedicated volunteers working hard to support the three missions of CAP and it shows in every area, from our Cadet Programs, our Aerospace Education, and our Emergency services training and missions.  You give a lot regularly. NCWG is a very busy Wing and it takes support from every level to keep everything moving and our membership supported.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.

With much appreciation,

R. JASON BAILEY, Colonel, CAP
Commander, North Carolina Wing
